Giants Claim 2nd Club Champs State Title for 2018

Giants got off to a 3 - 0 lead in the first and continued their run in the 3rd & the 4th with some disciplined batting and base running taking the Junior League Club Championship GF win over Swans with a 7-2 final score in 6.5 innings.

Jacob Santich was only 1 out away from pitching a complete game but hit his limit, striking out 10. Backed by a strong field who threw themselves at the ball to make some great plays, brilliant catches by Angell, McDonnell, Newham & Atkinson.

Reece Coles held strong behind the plate for 7 full innings and was instrumental in preventing 2 further runs with his quick thinking and accurate assists.

Base hits to Burke, Newham, Santich, Paul & Coles and some aggressive base stealing saw the team keep the momentum going and their heads level throughout. An outstanding combined effort by every single player throughout the entire series.
